James Farrell

James works to provide data management and curation support within Trusted Research Environments (TREs). Prior to joining the BHF Data Science Centre, James was a postdoctoral data scientist at the Centre for Medical Informatics, University of Edinburgh where he was the lead data analyst on several COVID-19 projects.

James has an engineering background with a PhD from the University of Edinburgh where he investigated the relationship between spinal deformity and lung function.
